Build Smarter Travel Experiences with Lumo’s API Suite
Lumo’s API suite makes it easy to integrate powerful, predictive travel insights into your tools, platforms, or workflows—helping your teams and your travelers stay ahead of disruptions. Whether you're building booking solutions, travel dashboards, or customer service tools, Lumo delivers actionable data that drives better decisions and smoother journeys.
From smarter trip planning to proactive disruption alerts and emissions reporting, our APIs are fast, flexible, and designed to scale with your business.
Flights & Search APIs: Smarter Booking Decisions
Lumo’s Flights and Search APIs help you evaluate the risk of delays and tight connections before a trip is booked. Is that 45-minute layover at O’Hare cutting it too close? Our API assesses connection risk, overall trip delay probability, and more—so travelers can balance price with reliability and make more informed decisions at the point of sale.
And it’s fast. Our latest API stack returns results for up to 100 trips in under a second—perfect for high-performance booking tools where every millisecond matters.
Subscription API: Real-Time Alerts That Scale
Subscription API: Real-Time Alerts That Scale
The Subscription API lets you register trips and receive real-time updates via webhooks, including delay predictions, schedule changes, and alerts from our data partner OAG. It’s built to scale with your business, using simple, transparent, volume-based pricing.
These proactive alerts help you build traveler experiences that minimize surprises and give users a heads-up—before a disruption turns into a headache.
Waivers API: Simplify a Time-Consuming Process
Keeping up with airline waivers can be a hassle. Lumo's Waivers API does the heavy lifting—constantly monitoring waiver alerts from over a dozen major airlines (United, Delta, American, Southwest, Jetblue, Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, Lufthansa Group, British Airways, Air France, KLM, Iberia, Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Australia, Qantas, Aeromexico, and LATAM), standardizing the data, and notifying you via webhook when a relevant waiver is released.
Trips registered through the Subscription API are automatically matched to applicable waivers, so your team spends less time tracking codes and more time supporting travelers.
Airports API: Predict Operational Disruptions
Lumo’s Airports API provides predictive insight into airport-level disruptions. In the U.S. and Canada, we forecast FAA traffic flow management initiatives (TMIs) up to seven days out, including the timing and likelihood of each. Globally, our models forecast airport capacity using real-time data, weather, and traffic trends.
With a single API call, you get access to capacity forecasts, TMI predictions, current delay data, METAR/TAF weather reports, and more—helping you plan proactively and make risk-based decisions instead of relying on instinct.
Emissions API: Integrated Sustainability Insights
Every call to our Flights APIs also includes granular CO₂ emissions estimates. Our models go beyond aircraft type and route distance to factor in directional fuel use differences (e.g., westbound vs. eastbound transatlantic flights), seasonal variation, and actual flight data like taxi and airborne times.
This lets you integrate sustainability insights at the point of sale—or support post-trip reporting for ESG goals and travel impact assessments.
The Bottom Line
Whether you're enhancing the traveler experience, improving operational foresight, or building sustainable travel tools, Lumo’s APIs give you the predictive power to stay ahead. Fast, scalable, and packed with insight, they’re the perfect foundation for the next generation of travel tech.
