Introducing Lumo Concierge: Your Personal Travel Expert

You know that friend who just seems to know everything about flights? The one who, before you've even checked the app, texts you that your connection is at risk and that you should probably take the earlier one? The one who can tell you whether to book the 7pm or the 4pm, because they know the 7pm has a 60% chance of a ground delay at O'Hare?

Not everyone has that friend. But now everyone can.

Today, we're introducing Lumo Concierge — a personal travel expert available to every traveler, right in their messages..

From enterprise to everyone

Lumo has spent years building the most accurate flight disruption predictions in the industry. Airlines use our data to stay ahead of delays. Corporate travel programs use our tools to protect their travelers. Travel agencies use our intelligence to make smarter decisions on the ground.

But for years, all of that has been B2B. The individual traveler — the person sitting in seat 24B, wondering if they're going to make their connection — didn't have direct access to what we know.

That changes today.

Lumo Concierge puts enterprise-grade predictions directly in your hands, through a conversational interface you already use every day: SMS and WhatsApp. No app to download. No website to navigate. No learning curve. Just message.

What can it do?

The short answer: if it's travel-related, ask it.Just don't ask to book flights or hotels – we aren't there yet.

The longer answer: Lumo Concierge handles everything from the simple to the surprisingly sophisticated. Here's a taste of what that looks like in practice.

For an occasional traveler headed to their cruise: "Will my flight get in on time? I need to make it to the port by 2pm." Lumo checks the flight, assesses delay risk, estimates your arrival, and tells you whether you have comfortable margin or whether you should be worried.

For a frequent flyer who knows their way around an airport: "What's the likelihood of a ground delay program at Chicago O'Hare tomorrow morning? My connection is tight." Lumo pulls the latest ATC outlook, checks the inbound flight's risk profile, gives you a Lumo Index score, and tells you whether to stress or relax.

For the business traveler who needs to be somewhere by a specific time: "I need to be at 30 Hudson Yards in New York by 11am for a meeting. What's my best option from Boston?" Lumo plans the whole journey — which flight to take, what time to leave, transit from the airport, buffer for security — and gives you a door-to-door timeline.

And it monitors your trips proactively. When something changes — a delay, a gate switch, an inbound aircraft running late — Lumo alerts you before the airline announces it. You can be rebooking your connection while other passengers are still waiting for the gate agent to speak.

Lumo Concierge is built on our MCP server, giving everyday travelers the same powerful technology that powers airlines and travel agencies.

Why now? Why messaging?

The honest answer is that AI has finally made this possible at a quality level we're comfortable putting our name on. Lumo has always been about predictions — the hard, data-intensive work of modeling what happens at airports before it happens. That part hasn't changed. What's changed is our ability to wrap that intelligence in a natural, conversational interface that any traveler can use.

Lumo Concierge is built on top of our Lumo MCP Server — the same real-time data layer that powers our enterprise products. When you ask Lumo Concierge a question, it's drawing on live flight data, proprietary delay predictions, ATC ground stop information, airport capacity models, and real-time traffic routing. The difference is that now, you're asking in plain English, and getting an answer in plain English back.

We chose messaging — SMS and WhatsApp — deliberately. Travelers don't want another app. They want an answer. Messaging is where people already communicate, and it puts the expert right next to everything else you're already doing on your phone.

On WhatsApp, you can even send voice notes instead of typing. Hold the microphone button, ask your question, and Lumo transcribes it and replies. If you're rushing through security or in a cab to the airport, you shouldn't have to stop and type. You can just ask.

Anyone can be an expert traveler

One of the things we're most proud of is how Lumo Concierge adapts to you. If you're a frequent flyer who speaks aviation fluently, you can ask about GDPs, EDCTs, and Lumo Index scores, and you'll get answers in kind. If you're an occasional traveler who just wants to know "will I get there on time?", you'll get a clear, jargon-free answer that tells you exactly what you need to know.

The same predictions. The same data. Delivered the way that's most useful to you.
